Daniel Nelson
Senior Population Health Manager, Caravan Health
Daniel Nelson is a Senior Population Health Manager and has been with Caravan Health for over two years. During his early years, Daniel managed a dental clinic specializing in insurance contracting, credentialing, billing and communication. He later worked in the healthcare insurance industry gaining valuable insurance experience. He has also gained experience through working in a large hospital system and later as an insurance specialist for a primary care facility.
Prior to joining Caravan Health, Daniel was responsible for project management and provider enrollment at a national healthcare consulting firm. He has gained experience working in various healthcare settings, giving him a perspective from different vantage points. After graduation from Texas State University with a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, he served as a program specialist at the Quality Institute for Medicaid and CHIP services at Health and Human Services Commission.
When not working, Daniel enjoys spending time with his two dogs, playing the piano, baking, hiking, and trips to the beach.
