Dr. Mohamed Diab

PRESIDENT, CVS ACCOUNTABLE CARE ORGANIZATION

Mohamed has more than 25 years of experience leading, growing, and advising regional and national payers, integrated health care systems, academic medical centers and big pharma.

As President of the CVS Health (Fortune 4 Company) Accountable Care Organization (ACO).  Mohamed is responsible for the development of value-based care strategies, oversight of the clinical and financial model design, and successful execution
of the program. 

Dr. Diab is a Physician by training and received his MBA from St. John’s University in NY.

Prior to his role with the CVS Health ACO, Mohamed:

  • Led the payor-agnostic population health management solutions for CVS/Aetna as President and Chief Executive Officer of ActiveHealth Management and Health Data Management Solutions (HDMS). In this role, he delivered personalized health care management, health lifestyle and wellness programs to 25M+ people through the utilization of unique analytics, digital assets and health care insights.
  • Served as a Principal in PwC’s Health Industries Advisory practice where he led the population health strategy and service offering for health systems. He also provided consultative services to various payers and health systems to develop and execute successful population health strategies.
  • Ran all medical management and pharmacy benefit operations at two large regional plans in New York and New Jersey, overseeing. Development and implementation of medical policies as well as the execution of the utilization management, case management and disease management programs.
  • Worked with various health systems and physician groups nationally on value-based care models ranging from pay for performance to joint ventures between payers and providers with the goal to improve the quality of care and reduce waste.
