Dr. Albano serves as the Chief Medical Officer - Population Health Management of the inVio Health Network, a clinically integrated network of over 5,000 clinicians caring for over 400,000 patients in various value-based arrangements covering two-thirds of the state of South Carolina. In this capacity, he directs initiatives to synchronize the optimization of health outcomes with cost reduction, the utilization of technology to bolster multidisciplinary teams, and aligns efforts to best address the equitable delivery of care. He also serves as the Quality Officer for Primary Care with focused efforts on improving chronic disease management and optimizing clinical efficiency aiming to improve the patient experience, as well as clinician, and clinical team satisfaction.
Dr. Albano is dually certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) in both Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine and holds the status of diplomate of the ABFM. Furthermore, he is recognized as a certified physician executive by the American Association of Physician Leaders, a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and has earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Auburn University.
