The State of Connecticut’s Office of the Comptroller and Signify Health are launching an innovative Episodes of Care program focused on delivering high-value care locally across the state.
The program aims to use Episode of Care contracts to create a more competitive market, engaging providers to decrease (1) high prices for routine procedures and treatments, (2) rates of avoidable events and complications, (3) use of low-value care services, (4) volume of unnecessary procedures.
Also covered: the State and Signify’s progress in developing and launching the program, how the State’s program benefits private employers, and how they can participate.
